The network aims to strengthen refugee representation, promote cooperation among organisations, and support regional dialogue on refugee-related issues.

The Middle East and North Africa Refugee Network was established in 2025 and officially launched in 2026.

MRN aims to:

• strengthen refugee representation in regional dialogue and policy discussions
• support cooperation among organizations working on refugee issues
• promote knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences
• support initiatives that enhance legal protection and refugee rights

MRN operates across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including countries that host refugees or are affected by displacement.

Membership is open to:

• registered civil society organizations working with refugees
• initiatives and organizations supporting refugee rights

MRN offers two types of membership:

• Full Membership for registered organizations working on refugee-related issues
• Observer Membership for international organizations and networks interested in engaging with the network

Organizations and initiatives working on refugee issues in the Middle East and North Africa can apply for membership through the application form available on the website.
Applications are reviewed in accordance with the membership criteria outlined in the network’s internal regulations.

MRN supports refugee rights by promoting cooperation among organizations, supporting initiatives related to legal protection, and facilitating knowledge exchange on legal and policy issues affecting refugees.

MRN is not a humanitarian aid organization providing direct assistance.
